A bike trip, a private canalboat around the Øresund as well as a tour of Ørestad made the entire visit especially enjoyabe because summer chose to hit exactly those days!

Tall structures as a built `traffic corridor` in Ørestad, BELLA SKY HOTEL, Amager Beach and its 9 towers followed by the spectacular MAERSK TOWER by C. F. MØLLER made a joyful day!

21.05.2015The diversity of the majors of the 2 groups of each 10 PAX students from the University of Virginia really made the groups strong and fit for exploring sustainabillity within the Øresund Region.
I am really eager to see how the new perspectives found within this part of the world will accelerate their thinking on their own background!

21.05.2015With 26 architects from both Czech Republic and Slovakia a 2 days exploration of the Green Capital City of Copenhagen was carried out with networking and much interest.

Direct conversations and interviews with tenants living in case study houses was part of the explorations of the 'behind the scenes' tour.
SPRING SEMESTER AT DIS IS OVER
15.05.2015Working with these talented students through the spring semester on the overall theme of Atsmosphere with assignments like Pavilion of Silence and New Danish Museum for Danish Resistance, 1940 – 45 was beyond the usual. An emotional rollercoaster through real life events during winter through the relive of the appearing spring made the process and results unique of a kind.

12.05.2015Following the completion of the Gammel Hellerup High School multi-purpose hall designed by Bjarke Ingels Group in 2013, a new 1400 m2 building for cultural activities has been inaugurated by the school’s art and sports enthusiasts.
